Eberechi Eze’s impressive performances are drawing attention from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, with both clubs reportedly tracking the Crystal Palace star over the past year.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has a £68million release clause in his contract, which will become active this summer. However, with just two Premier League goals this season, some may question whether the price tag is justified.

Despite his modest goal return, former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes Eze possesses talent on par with England teammate Cole Palmer. Speaking on talkSPORT, Cascarino suggested that improving his finishing could elevate Eze to the level of the Chelsea sensation, who has netted an impressive 36 goals in 59 league appearances.
“Eze is brilliant—unbelievable,” Cascarino said. “If he could finish, he’d be among the biggest transfers in the country. That’s the one thing people point to—his goal return. But he’s so gifted and plays the game at his own pace.”
Cascarino also highlighted the similarities between Eze and Palmer, emphasizing their ability to glide past defenders with ease. “Palmer has the numbers, but Eze could reach that level because he’s a terrific footballer. Everything seems effortless for him,” he added.
Manchester United, who have struggled for goals this season, could benefit from Eze’s attacking flair. Manager Ruben Amorim faces the challenge of boosting the club’s firepower, with only four Premier League teams scoring fewer goals.

Interestingly, United have also been linked with Cole Palmer due to his childhood connection to the club. The 22-year-old grew up as a Red Devils supporter and has previously cited Wayne Rooney as his footballing idol.
Eze will aim to improve his goal-scoring record when Crystal Palace take on Aston Villa at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night—a prime opportunity to showcase his value to potential suitors.
