Man United Star Faces Uncertain Future After Injury Scare at Everton

Noussair Mazraoui faces an anxious wait for further tests on a knee injury he sustained during Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Everton on Saturday.

The summer arrival from Bayern Munich started the game at Goodison Park but was forced off in the 70th minute, replaced by Leny Yoro.

The substitution was not pre-planned, as Mazraoui experienced pain in his right knee and required immediate medical attention.

The Moroccan international received on-field treatment before heading to the dressing room for further care, with teammates showing visible concern.

According to ESPN, additional tests are scheduled for Monday to determine the severity of the injury and whether he will be fit for United’s upcoming Premier League clash against Ipswich Town on Wednesday.

His absence would be another selection headache for Ruben Amorim, who is already dealing with a growing injury list.

Defenders Lisandro Martinez and Jonny Evans are sidelined, while left-back Luke Shaw continues to struggle with fitness issues.

Midfield reinforcements are also scarce, with Kobbie Mainoo, Mason Mount, and Toby Collyer unavailable, while winger Amad Diallo remains out.

Amorim was forced to field a youthful bench against Everton, featuring Chido Obi-Martin, Ayden Heaven, Elyh Harrison, Sekou Kone, and Hubert Graczyk.

Ahead of the match against the Toffees, Amorim provided an update on his injured players: “Amad will be out for a long time.

Mason and Luke continue their recovery, but I don’t have a return date for them. Toby seems to be the closest to a comeback, but not yet. Kobbie is also recovering, so we must adapt with the players available.”

The Red Devils endured a nightmare first half at Goodison Park, falling behind 2-0 after goals from Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

However, a spirited second-half comeback saw Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte find the net to secure a crucial point.

Despite the turnaround, Amorim insisted he made no tactical changes at halftime, instead urging his players to show more urgency.

“I told them to play the same way. We had a plan, we studied Everton, and we just needed more belief. It was all about energy, fighting for second balls, and showing quality in key moments.”

As United prepares for a quick turnaround against Ipswich, all eyes will be on Mazraoui’s test results to see if he can shake off his injury setback in time.
