Man United Told to Swap Rashford for Newcastle Star in a Blockbuster Transfer Move

Ruben Amorim has been advised to consider a bold move involving Manchester United as he eyes Newcastle United’s prolific striker Alexander Isak.

According to Old Trafford legend Gary Pallister, Manchester United could benefit from adding a proven goal scorer like Isak to their squad.

Despite his £72m price tag, 21-year-old Rasmus Hojlund has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League, scoring just two league goals this season.

Similarly, Joshua Zirkzee’s underwhelming form has led to speculation about his departure from United just six months after joining.

Reports suggest Amorim might target Viktor Gyokeres, his former striker at Sporting Lisbon, but a move for the Swedish forward is more likely in the summer.

Meanwhile, Isak, who has been in red-hot form with 10 goals in his last nine games for Newcastle, is emerging as a potential target for Manchester United.

Newcastle values Isak at over £100m, making a January transfer challenging. However, Pallister has floated the idea of including Marcus Rashford in the deal. Rashford, who recently expressed his desire for a “new challenge,” has been linked with several domestic and international clubs.

“Alexander Isak would be an instant upgrade for Manchester United,” said Pallister during an interview with Betano. “He’s confident, clinical, and looks like the complete package.

“Hojlund has potential, but United needs someone who can deliver goals now. Zirkzee isn’t the right fit as a striker, and it’s unfortunate the club missed out on Harry Kane. If Newcastle insists on a £150m fee for Isak, perhaps involving Rashford in the deal could be a solution.”

While Manchester United mulls its options, Arsenal has reportedly emerged as a frontrunner for Isak’s signature. Mikel Arteta is eager to bolster his attacking lineup, with several pundits encouraging the Gunners to make a move.

Former West Ham forward Tony Cottee has even likened Isak to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, describing him as the “best striker in the Premier League.”

“Isak reminds me of Henry – his movement, speed, and clinical finishing are world-class,” Cottee told BetUK. “He’s not just a great goal scorer; his all-around game is phenomenal. Arsenal should break the bank to sign him as he could be the key to winning the league.”

Although Newcastle may hesitate to sell their star player, Arsenal and Manchester United are circling. The race for Isak’s signature could become one of the most exciting transfer stories of the season.
