Manchester United are reportedly prioritizing the signing of a new left-back in the January transfer window, with three top names on their wishlist.

According to reports, AFC Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez, and Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies are all being considered as potential targets for the Red Devils.
Kerkez, 21, is a relative newcomer to the Premier League, having joined Bournemouth in July 2023. Despite being the cheapest option, he is still largely unproven at the highest level, which makes his potential move somewhat of a gamble. On the other hand, Hernandez, 27, is a more experienced and reliable option but comes with a hefty wage demand, reportedly seeking €8 million (£6.7m) per season.
However, Manchester United’s No.1 left-back target is the 24-year-old Davies. With his pace and exceptional quality, Davies would bring a level of skill to Old Trafford, but United will have to fend off competition from Real Madrid, who are also monitoring the Canadian’s situation at Bayern Munich.
In addition to a left-back, United are also looking for a new striker, with several high-profile names on their radar.
Nigerian duo Victor Boniface and Victor Osimhen are joined by PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush as part of United’s striker shortlist.
