Manchester United’s injury crisis has forced manager Ruben Amorim to include seven academy players in today’s Premier League squad against Tottenham.
With a severely depleted squad, United’s bench is packed with young talents, including 17-year-old Chido Obi, who left Arsenal for United in September.

Obi has impressed in the youth ranks, scoring a hat-trick on his full Under-18s debut and seven goals in three FA Youth Cup games.
Joining him on the bench are Harry Amass, Elyh Harrison, Tyler Fredricson, Jack Fletcher, Jack Moorhouse, and Sekou Kone.
Ayden Heaven, a January signing from Arsenal, is also included. The only senior substitute available is Victor Lindelof.
Injuries have ravaged United, with Amad Diallo suffering an ankle injury that may require surgery. The absences of Marcus Rashford and Antony, who left on loan last month, leave Amorim with limited attacking options in Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee, and Alejandro Garnacho who have managed just one goal between them in 2025.
Midfield options are also stretched thin, with Kobbie Mainoo sidelined for weeks and neither Manuel Ugarte nor Toby Collyer making the trip. That leaves only Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, neither of whom has started a match since December.
Moorhouse, 19, could be called upon in midfield. The Under-21 standout is joined by Kone, an 18-year-old defensive midfielder signed from Guidars FC last summer.
The Malian impressed at the Under-17 World Cup, helping his team reach the semi-finals, and recently played his first full 90 minutes for United’s Under-21s against Tottenham.
Amass, a 17-year-old left-back, has long been on fans’ radar after impressing in pre-season, while 18-year-old goalkeeper Harrison was recalled from a Chester loan spell in January.
Fredricson, 19, provides extra cover at center-back, while Fletcher, son of United legend Darren Fletcher, has been named in a senior squad before.
With so many injuries, these youngsters could be called upon in a high-stakes clash against Tottenham as United fight to stay competitive.
