Manchester United might have the chance to secure Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz in a high-profile swap deal this summer, according to reports.
The 25-year-old, currently at Juventus, has been linked with the Red Devils before, but a move never materialized. Tuttosport now claims that the Italian giants are willing to offer Luiz in exchange for United’s struggling striker, Joshua Zirkzee.
Juventus, who signed Luiz from Aston Villa for €50m (£42.35m) last June, are looking to strengthen their attack. Their long-standing interest in Zirkzee has only intensified as top European clubs begin planning for the summer window.

Zirkzee, who joined United from Bologna for £36.5m under Erik ten Hag, has struggled to impress, managing just five goals and two assists in 36 appearances. Though he recently found the net in United’s FA Cup win over Leicester, speculation about his future has been growing.
Earlier reports suggested the 23-year-old was frustrated at Old Trafford and eager to leave. However, transfer expert Florian Plettenberg dismissed those claims, stating that Zirkzee is determined to prove himself and believes in his abilities.
The Dutch striker has faced sharp criticism from pundits, including former Premier League midfielder Jamie O’Hara, who recently called him “one of the worst players” to wear a United shirt.
Meanwhile, Luiz’s career could have taken a different path—he was once part of Manchester City’s setup but never broke into their first team. Now, he may finally return to the Premier League, but with United instead of City.
As the summer window approaches, this potential swap deal could be one of the biggest talking points in European football.
