Since bursting onto the scene in 2015, Rashford has become a household name at Old Trafford, scoring 138 goals in 426 appearances and playing a pivotal role in United’s success.
Over his career, he has helped the Red Devils secure six trophies, including two FA Cups and the Europa League in 2017.
However, after a stellar 2022/23 season where he achieved his best-ever goal tally, Rashford’s form has taken a dramatic dip.
He has netted only 15 goals across all competitions since that high point, leading to his omission from Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.
Reports suggest United have now listed Rashford for sale, and the forward’s recent comments to journalist Henry Winter have only fueled speculation.
Speaking on his future, Rashford admitted: “I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave, it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings.’ You won’t hear anything negative from me about Manchester United.”
Reflecting on his nine-year stint in the Premier League, Rashford expressed gratitude for the lessons he’s learned but remained optimistic about the future. “I’m halfway through my career. I don’t expect my peak to be now.
These nine years have taught me a lot and helped me grow as a player and a person. I don’t have regrets.
I take things day by day, and whether good or bad, I aim for balance.”
When asked if he believes the best is yet to come, Rashford’s response was confident: “100 per cent. That’s my mentality.”
The 26-year-old also emphasized that his eventual departure will be respectful, saying: “When I leave, I’ll make a statement, and it will come directly from me.
I’ve seen how other players have left in the past, and I don’t want to be that person.”
As Manchester United faces a period of transition, Rashford’s potential exit marks the end of an era.
Fans will undoubtedly await his next move with mixed emotions, hoping that the forward continues to thrive in the next chapter of his career.
