The 27-year-old forward has faced a tough season under new Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim, slipping down the squad hierarchy during a turbulent period for both club and player.
Rashford’s exclusion from four consecutive matchday squads, starting with the Manchester derby in December, has only fueled speculation about his future.
While he returned to the bench against Newcastle United on Monday, the England international remained unused in United’s 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford.
Rashford has now expressed his desire for a fresh start, stating he is “ready for a new challenge.” According to reports, he has initiated talks with sports agency CAA Stellar, renowned for handling high-profile deals like Gareth Bale’s transfer to Real Madrid.
Currently represented by his brother, Dwaine Maynard, Rashford is seeking Stellar’s expertise to secure a deal with a new club. However, his substantial £325,000-a-week salary limits his options.
Barcelona is considered the frontrunner by bookmakers, but the club’s ongoing financial struggles complicate any potential transfer.
Paris Saint-Germain and the Saudi Pro League have also been mentioned as possible destinations, while Arsenal has emerged as a Premier League contender, though a January bid appears unlikely.
When asked about a potential move for Rashford, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta refused to comment, stating, “You know I’m not going to talk about players from other clubs.”
Amorim, addressing Rashford’s return to the squad, attributed the decision to injuries and suspensions rather than a shift in the player’s status. “Selection,” he remarked. “We have a lot of players out, and this time he’s here.”
Rashford’s next steps remain uncertain, but his determination to leave Manchester United signals a major shakeup in his career.
