PSV Eindhoven will be aiming to maintain their perfect record in the Eredivisie this weekend when they welcome PEC Zwolle to Philips Stadion for a gameweek 10 clash. The hosts are the only team in the division yet to drop a point this season, while the visitors have only managed eight points from their first nine games of the campaign.

PSV’s Impressive Form
PSV will be returning to domestic duty following a trip to Parc des Princes in midweek, where they managed to take a point off Paris Saint-Germain in matchday three of the Champions League.

While that result meant that the Red and Whites are still waiting for their first win in Europe this term, they have had no such difficulty in the domestic league having rattled off nine on the bounce.

Their most recent league victory was a 2-1 win over AZ Alkmaar on the road last weekend, and that took the Farmers’ goal tally in the league to an incredible 29 for the season, 10 more than any other side.

Notably, Peter Bosz‘s men have also scored two or more goals in all nine top-flight games this term, as well as each of their last eight in Eindhoven dating back to a 1-0 victory against Twente in mid-March.

To find the last time PSV suffered a league defeat on home soil, you would have to go back to November 2022 – 31 games ago – a period during which they won 28 matches and drew just three.

PEC Zwolle’s Struggles
Meanwhile, PEC Zwolle have struggled to find rhythm this season, having only managed two wins over their first nine, and they are now hoping to avoid a third consecutive match without a victory.

Last weekend, Blauwvingers suffered a 2-1 home loss to NAC Breda, marking their fifth defeat of the season and leaving them level on eight points with Heerenveen, who currently occupy the relegation playoff spot.

Johnny Jansen‘s side will now head back on the road where points have proven tough to come by, with the side failing to win any of their last 11 league matches dating back to the start of February.

Unfortunately for the visitors, ending that away drought seems unlikely here, given that they have been beaten in 16 straight matches against PSV since 2015, and have been outscored 56-11 in that time.

Injury Updates
PSV have suffered a couple of major injury setbacks in recent weeks, with midfielders Joey Veerman and Jerdy Schouten sidelined due to groin and knee issues, respectively.

Additionally, Sergino Dest and Hirving Lozano are both doubtful this weekend, along with Rick Karsdorp. Malik Tillman is expected to step into the midfield to replace Schouten, while Ivan Perisic is also in contention for a spot after missing the trip to France.

PEC Zwolle are currently dealing with two long-term absentees, Samir Lagsir and Tristan Gooijer, both recovering from serious knee injuries and not expected back until next year.

Braydon Manu, who has missed the last eight matches due to a muscle injury, remains unavailable for this game and he will be joined on the sidelines by Olivier Aertssen (knock). Simon Graves returned from his knock last week and should be available for selection.

Predicted Lineups
PSV Eindhoven possible starting lineup: Benitez; Dams, Boscagli, Flamingo, Junior; Saibari, Til, Obispo; Lang, De Jong, Bakayoko

PEC Zwolle possible starting lineup: Schendelaar; Floranus, Graves, MacNulty, Van der Haar; Monteiro, El Azzouzi, Van den Berg; Namli, Vente, Krastev

PSV have won each of their last 16 matches in a row against this opponent over the last decade, and given their form this season, it is tough to see anything but another commanding victory for the champs in this one.
