Mohamed Salah Set to Stay at Liverpool Amid Contract Talks

Former Liverpool star Didi Hamann believes Mohamed Salah will remain at Anfield, dismissing any suggestion that the Egyptian forward intends to leave.

Salah has been in scintillating form this season, netting 17 goals in just 18 Premier League matches, playing a pivotal role in Liverpool’s rise to the top of the table.

Despite his immense contributions, Salah’s future remains uncertain as his contract is set to expire at the end of the season. Now 32 years old, he is free to negotiate with foreign clubs, with a potential free transfer looming in the summer. However, Hamann is confident the prolific forward will commit to a new deal.

Hamann suggests the ongoing negotiations are routine and believes neither the player nor the club desires a separation. Speaking to BoyleSports, he said, “There’s a good chance Salah stays at Liverpool. If they win the league and Champions League, it might be a good moment for him to move on, but time will tell.

“Any club would jump at the chance to sign Salah, even at 32, but I think he’s happy at Liverpool. After his Chelsea stint didn’t work out, he’s had a phenomenal career at Anfield. I can’t picture him in another shirt.”

Hamann added that Salah’s age isn’t a concern given his fitness and form. He believes Salah is focused on Liverpool and is unlikely to leave anytime soon.

Salah himself has remained tight-lipped about the situation. After scoring in Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition of West Ham, he told Sky Sports, “We’re far from any resolution. I don’t want to say too much, but nothing has progressed. My focus is on the team and winning the Premier League.”

With Salah’s extraordinary performances, Liverpool fans remain hopeful that their talisman will extend his stay and continue to shine at Anfield.
