Former Super Eagles midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has expressed confidence in Nigeria’s chances of clinching their fourth Africa Cup of Nations title at the 2025 tournament in Morocco.

The Super Eagles narrowly missed out on glory in the last edition, losing 2-1 to Côte d’Ivoire in the final. Now, Eric Chelle’s team is determined to surpass that achievement and claim the coveted trophy.

Adepoju believes the team has the quality to achieve this feat. “With the level of our players, their strong performance in the last AFCON, and their impressive form at their European clubs, I am confident we have a squad that can compete favourably and potentially win the trophy for the fourth time,” the former Real Sociedad midfielder told thenff.com.

Nigeria is set to compete in Group C, where they will face the Taifa Stars of Tanzania, the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, and the Cranes of Uganda. The campaign kicks off with a clash against Tanzania in their opening fixture.
