Super Eagles winger Nethan Tella featured prominently as Bayer Leverkusen played out a hard-fought goalless draw against Bayern Munich in Saturday’s Bundesliga clash.
Tella, making his 18th appearance of the season, showcased his attacking threat but was unable to find the back of the net.
The Nigerian international, who has recorded one goal and two assists this season, came agonizingly close to scoring, with multiple efforts crashing off the crossbar.
Despite his promising display, Tella was substituted in the 85th minute for Amine Adli, having put in an energetic shift against the league leaders.

Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian Victor Boniface remained on the bench for the entire match.
The result leaves Leverkusen in second place with 47 points, trailing Bayern Munich, who continue to lead the Bundesliga table with 55 points.
