Newcastle United are exploring the possibility of signing Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze as they prepare for Miguel Almiron’s departure, according to softfootball.com.
Reports from TMC suggest that the Magpies are in discussions about making a formal approach for the AC Milan winger. The club is on the verge of finalizing Almiron’s transfer to Major League Soccer side Atalanta, which would clear the way for a potential bid.
Once Almiron’s move is confirmed, Newcastle are expected to initiate official talks with AC Milan regarding Chukwueze. However, they are not the only club showing interest. Real Sociedad have already made an inquiry about the 25-year-old, having approached Milan last week.
Chukwueze joined the Italian giants from Villarreal in 2023 but has struggled to secure consistent playing time at the San Siro.
So far this season, he has featured in 18 Serie A matches under manager Sergio Conceicao, scoring twice.
With Newcastle seeking attacking reinforcements, Chukwueze could emerge as a key target in the coming weeks.
