Victor Osimhen and his former U-17 World Cup-winning teammate, Funsho Bamgboye, have been named in the Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week, as compiled by football statistics platform WhoScored.com.
Osimhen continued his brilliant goal-scoring form, netting both goals in Galatasaray’s 2-1 victory over Rizespor on Monday.
The Super Eagles striker has now scored 14 goals in 18 league appearances, further cementing his influence in Galatasaray’s title push. The win extended their lead at the top of the table to 63 points, six ahead of rivals Fenerbahce.

Bamgboye also made his mark over the weekend, scoring the decisive goal in Hatayspor’s 1-0 win over Alanyaspor on Sunday. His 56th-minute strike not only secured three points but also ended Hatayspor’s 10-match winless streak. Despite the win, the club remains in the relegation zone, sitting 18th in the 19-team league with 13 points.
Both players’ performances have earned them well-deserved recognition, proving their value in the Turkish league.
