Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has received a five-match stadium ban for ‘improper behaviour’ after the team’s Premier League loss to Fulham. The ban follows a contentious match where Fulham’s penalty appeals were initially denied before being overturned by VAR. Despite denying the charge, Marinakis was found guilty by the FA.

The FA stated: “Evangelos Marinakis was charged with misconduct… It was alleged that his behaviour around the tunnel area after the final whistle was improper.”

Additionally, Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo expressed surprise over his three-match touchline ban for his red card during a previous match against Brighton, where he was dismissed shortly after Morgan Gibbs-White. He also received a £55,000 fine.

Currently sitting 10th in the Premier League, Nottingham Forest will face Crystal Palace on Monday, who are struggling in the relegation zone.
