Lawal urged fans to remain patient, as Boniface continues to impress in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface’s Bundesliga Success
The Bayer Leverkusen striker has been in good form for his club, sitting sixth in the Bundesliga top goal scorer chart with six goals.
However, his goal-scoring form has yet to translate into success with the Super Eagles, a factor that has drawn some criticism.
Confidence in Boniface’s Potential
Lawal, speaking with softfootball.com, emphasized that Boniface’s commitment to both club and country has been exceptional. He stated that the pressure on the player to perform for the national team should be managed carefully.
“I just believe it is a matter of time before Nigerians see him start scoring goals for the Super Eagles, the same way he does for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga,” Lawal added. He remains confident that Boniface will become a valuable asset for the national team in the future.
