Currently, Liverpool sit at the top of the table with 21 points, followed closely by City with 20 points, and Arsenal with 17 points.
As Arsenal prepare to host Liverpool this Sunday, Scholes emphasized that Pep Guardiola will be more concerned about Liverpool due to their stronger squad depth.
Scholes particularly praised the energy and quality of Liverpool’s midfield, highlighting their fitness and depth, especially with players like Darwin Nunez, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Alexis Mac Allister making key contributions.
He pointed out the strength of Liverpool’s forward lineup, which he believes makes their midfield less critical.
However, Ian Wright expressed some doubts about Szoboszlai’s impact, while praising the surprising form of Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones.
Meanwhile, Roy Keane insists that Liverpool were always potential title contenders, referencing their strong finish last season under Jürgen Klopp. Keane reminded fans not to get carried away, noting that the season is still in its early stages.
