Sporting Lisbon’s prolific forward Viktor Gyokeres could be set for a Premier League move, as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool are reportedly on high alert after his price tag was significantly reduced.

Sporting, who initially set his release clause at €100m (£83m), has now agreed to lower his potential transfer fee to a range between €60m (£49.9m) and €70m (£58.2m), a price point that has intensified interest from England’s top clubs.
The 26-year-old Swedish international has been in outstanding form, netting 12 goals and providing an assist in just nine matches this season.
Last year, Gyokeres demonstrated his attacking prowess with 43 goals and 15 assists across 50 games in all competitions, establishing himself as one of the top targets in European football.
Premier League champions Manchester City are also reportedly monitoring Gyokeres as they consider adding another striking option to their squad.
Gyokeres acknowledged the initial €100m release clause might have been prohibitive for potential buyers.
In a recent interview with Aftonbladet, he shared, “It was probably a bit too much… but that’s what Sporting thinks I’m worth.”
Since joining Sporting from Coventry City in 2023, he has proven his value and drawn praise, including from former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna, who recently expressed his hope that the Gunners could secure the forward.
Sagna highlighted Gyokeres’ potential to strengthen Arsenal’s attacking options, adding that the striker’s physicality and aerial ability would bring a new dimension to the team’s style.
