Raheem Sterling has been urged to reflect on his own performance following a lackluster spell on loan at Arsenal.
The 30-year-old was deemed expendable by Chelsea and moved to the Gunners on a loan deal just before the summer transfer window closed.
Sterling had confidently declared that Arsenal would witness the “best of me,” especially under manager Mikel Arteta, who had helped develop him into one of Europe’s top wingers during their time together at Manchester City.
However, instead of reigniting his career, Sterling’s time at the Emirates has raised concerns about his future. Despite an opportunity to start in Arsenal’s match against Leicester City, with key players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli sidelined, Sterling’s performance fell short.

He was substituted in the 70th minute for Mikel Merino, who ultimately scored the match-winning goals.
Simon Jordan, former chairman of Crystal Palace, expressed doubt about Sterling’s ability to turn things around, stating that the winger needed to reflect on his situation.
He pointed out that Sterling had failed to impress at Chelsea, was sent on loan to Arsenal, and continues to struggle in his performances.
Jordan believes that despite the chance, Sterling’s lack of impact might signal that his best days are behind him.
Arteta, when asked about Sterling’s lack of influence in the Leicester match, attributed it to the team’s overall performance, stating that rhythm and form were lacking.
Yet, the pressure is mounting on the 30-year-old to rediscover the spark that once made him one of the Premier League’s most feared players.
