Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique has excluded Randal Kolo Muani from the squad for their Ligue 1 match against Saint-Etienne, sparking fresh rumors of a potential loan to Manchester United.

The 26-year-old forward joined PSG in 2023 for £76 million from Eintracht Frankfurt, carrying high expectations. However, Kolo Muani has struggled to establish himself in Paris, making just two starts in all competitions this season and falling out of Enrique’s plans.

Reports from Europe suggest that Kolo Muani is seeking a new opportunity, catching the attention of major clubs this January. Manchester United, Tottenham, and Juventus are reportedly leading the chase, with PSG open to a loan deal to help the forward regain his form through consistent playing time.

PSG’s decision to omit Kolo Muani from the squad against Saint-Etienne has fueled further speculation about his departure. Enrique has instead opted for players like Ousmane Dembele, Lee Kang-in, Desire Doue, and Bradley Barcola for the Parc des Princes clash.

Despite PSG’s dominance in Ligue 1 – they are four points clear at the top of the table – Kolo Muani’s role has diminished. Nevertheless, he remains a key figure for the French national team, having played in the 2022 World Cup and last summer’s European Championship. His contract with PSG extends until 2028.

In an interview with Telefoot, Kolo Muani expressed frustration over his lack of playing time but vowed to keep fighting for his place. “Mental strength is crucial. I’ve always worked hard to earn opportunities. It’s up to me to prove myself and gain the coach’s trust,” he said.

When asked about leaving PSG, Kolo Muani dismissed the idea. “No, I’ve never thought about leaving. I must keep working, show what I can do, and never give up. If you give up, it’s over,” he added.

As the January transfer window progresses, all eyes are on Kolo Muani’s next move and whether he’ll secure a loan deal to reignite his career.
