Danny Murphy has suggested that Marcus Rashford might perform better at Arsenal or Tottenham, following speculation that Manchester United is willing to sell the forward.

Reports earlier this week indicated that Rashford, after a turbulent period, could be on the move in January, with his current form failing to match the heights of his career.
Having spent ten seasons at Old Trafford, Rashford’s best season was 2022-23, where he netted 30 goals under Erik ten Hag. However, his form has dropped since, with just four goals in 15 league appearances this season.
Murphy, a former England midfielder, doubts Rashford will leave United but believes a move to a more established team like Arsenal could enhance his performance.
He pointed out that in a successful, settled side like Arsenal, Rashford’s natural talent could shine through, offering better end products.
Murphy also expressed confidence that Rashford would thrive at Spurs, adding that, despite his inconsistent form, Rashford remains United’s most dangerous forward when on top of his game.
“He’s still the best one,” Murphy said, ranking him ahead of players like Garnacho and Hojlund.
While United’s managerial instability has been a constant issue, Murphy feels that the right environment, such as one under Arsenal’s solid management, might bring out the best in Rashford again.
However, he acknowledges that United’s new coach, Ruben Amorim, may help the forward rediscover his best form.
Ex-Premier League owner Simon Jordan echoed Murphy’s sentiment, stating that Rashford’s future will depend largely on how Amorim handles him.
Jordan believes that previous managers allowed Rashford to fall into a rut, but Amorim has the potential to either revitalize him or push him out of the club.
