Both players missed the recent Premier League victory over Manchester City, but Rashford’s situation has become a major talking point.

The England international has openly expressed his readiness to leave the club, shifting discussions from “if” to “where” his next destination might be.

Rashford’s exclusion for Thursday’s game raised further questions, but Amorim clarified that his decision was purely based on team requirements.

“I select players I feel are ready to handle the demands of a tough game,” Amorim explained to Sky Sports.

“It’s about training performance, game performance, and overall engagement with teammates. This applies to every player, not just Marcus.”

Meanwhile, Garnacho earned his spot back in the squad following his strong response to being benched for the Manchester derby.

Amorim praised the young forward’s efforts in training, saying, “He’s prepared and adds value to our offense. His speed and one-on-one skills are crucial.”

Rashford also addressed his future in a candid interview with Henry Winter, expressing no animosity toward the club. “I’m ready for a new challenge,” he said.

“When I leave, it will be without hard feelings. I want to part ways respectfully, unlike some players before me. When the time comes, I’ll make my statement.”

While Garnacho’s return excites fans, Rashford’s departure seems inevitable, marking a potential turning point for Manchester United.
