Real Betis have made another move for an out-of-favor Manchester United player, following the loan signing of Antony.

The Spanish club is now pursuing a short-term deal for Tyrell Malacia, who has struggled to break into the team due to injury setbacks.

Antony, having fallen out of favor under new United boss Ruben Amorim, has joined Betis until the end of the season.

The Brazilian winger expressed his excitement about the move on Instagram, saying he was eager to contribute to the team.

Malacia could soon reunite with his former teammate. The Dutch defender, signed from Feyenoord in 2022, has endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford, missing the entire 2023/24 season due to a knee injury.

Despite Luke Shaw’s fitness struggles, Malacia has featured only seven times this season. With United on the verge of signing Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu, his playing time is expected to diminish even further.

Betis, under the guidance of ex-Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, are keen to capitalize on the situation. However, competition for Malacia’s signature remains, as other clubs have also expressed interest.

The La Liga side, currently 10th in the standings, already boasts several Premier League alumni, including Hector Bellerin, Pablo Fornals, Adrian, and Giovani Lo Celso.

Malacia recently confirmed he is fit and eager to play, telling Manchester United’s website that he feels sharp and ready after a long spell on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, United are expected to have a busy end to the transfer window. Casemiro has been linked with a move to Roma, while Alejandro Garnacho has attracted interest from Chelsea and Napoli.

Marcus Rashford’s future remains uncertain, with Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund monitoring the situation despite concerns over his high wages.
