After a difficult period that saw United lose their last two games, the team battled back from a 1-0 deficit to secure the win, with Hojlund scoring both the equalizer and the late winner.
However, the match was marked by tension between the two teammates. During the game, Amad failed to deliver the ball to Hojlund in the box on one occasion, while Hojlund chose not to pass to Amad during another counter-attack.
The frustration boiled over after the final whistle, with the pair seen arguing as they left the pitch.
Asked about the confrontation, Amorim, speaking at the post-match press conference, praised the disagreement, calling it a “very good sign” for the team.
“Yes, I saw it, and for me, it’s perfect. We need to feel something,” he said. “In moments like this, it’s important to care. If you don’t care, you do nothing.
When you care, you fight with your brother, father, or mother. It’s a good sign.”
Despite the clash, Amorim emphasized that the intensity showed the players’ commitment, and he believes it’s a positive indicator of their passion and drive.
