Mount, who struggled to adapt under Erik ten Hag due to tactical mismatches and injuries, has a fresh opportunity to thrive under Amorim’s leadership.

Amorim, who employs the 3-4-3 formation that previously brought out Mount’s best under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, expressed confidence in the player’s abilities. “Mason Mount… I have to tell you I love that kid,” Amorim said.

“You can see in his eyes that he wants this so bad. He played in this system before, and it’s perfect for him. I have two positions for him, so he should be very happy!”

Amorim also addressed criticism of Marcus Rashford and Casemiro for traveling during the international break, emphasizing the need for Manchester United to enforce stricter standards.

He explained, “The club must set the standard. Players were given five days off, and they made personal decisions. Moving forward, we need better guidelines to avoid such scrutiny.”

Amorim’s strategic plans and call for institutional improvement highlight his commitment to reshaping Manchester United on and off the pitch.
