Sevilla head coach Garcia Pimienta has expressed his satisfaction with Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho, stating that he is confident the Super Eagles star will soon feature more prominently in the team’s plans.

Iheanacho, who has struggled for consistent playing time since joining the Spanish club, has nevertheless impressed his manager with his work ethic and adaptability.
Speaking in a recent interview, Pimienta praised Iheanacho’s attitude and contribution in training, indicating that it’s only a matter of time before the striker sees increased game time.
“I’m happy with Kelechi. He’s been working hard, and he’s shown the right mentality in every session. I believe his moment will come, and he will start playing more games soon,” Pimienta said.
Despite limited appearances this season, Iheanacho remains a key option for Sevilla as they look to balance their La Liga and European commitments.
The Nigerian forward, known for his sharp finishing and link-up play, has the potential to add a different dimension to Sevilla’s attack, which Pimienta is eager to utilize.
Pimienta also stressed that competition for places is intense, but he sees Iheanacho as an important player in his long-term plans.
“We have a lot of quality in the squad, and every player has to fight for their place. Kelechi understands that, and he’s shown the hunger to succeed. I have no doubt he will get his chances,” the coach added.
