Tottenham’s January transfer window ended in dramatic fashion with the arrivals of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso, both in line to feature against Liverpool in Thursday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.

Tel, a 19-year-old forward, joined on loan from Bayern Munich despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, while Danso arrived earlier in the week from Lens to reinforce Spurs’ depleted defense.
With a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, Spurs face a tough trip to Anfield with several key players missing. Dominic Solanke remains sidelined, along with Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner, and James Maddison.
Postecoglou confirmed both new signings are fit to play, with Tel potentially stepping into the attack and Danso filling in for the injured Radu Dragusin.

Meanwhile, Micky van de Ven, who recently returned from injury, won’t feature as Spurs take a cautious approach to his recovery.
Postecoglou emphasized the importance of avoiding further setbacks, especially after Dragusin’s serious injury.
With a place in the final on the line, Spurs’ new arrivals could have an immediate impact.
