Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is pushing for an exit from Napoli, with Paris Saint-Germain leading the race ahead of Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea.

The 23-year-old Georgian winger, who joined Napoli from Dinamo Batumi in 2022, has been a standout performer. With 30 goals for the club, he played a pivotal role in securing their Serie A title in 2023. Currently, Napoli tops the table again, but Kvaratskhelia’s future appears elsewhere.

Napoli manager Antonio Conte confirmed the player’s desire to leave, revealing his disappointment after six months of trying to persuade the forward to stay. “I spent months showing Kvara he’s central to our project,” said Conte. “But I can’t force someone who wants out.”

Reports indicate that PSG has already agreed to a five-year contract with Kvaratskhelia, promising him a salary four to five times higher than his current earnings. Transfer negotiations between the clubs are ongoing, with the transfer fee expected to fall between £58m and £68m.

Speaking on Saturday, Conte expressed frustration: “Kvaratskhelia made it clear he wants to be sold. I tried to keep him in the summer, but it’s time to step back. The club and his entourage need to resolve this.”

The winger will not feature in Sunday’s match against Verona. “We’ll lose an important player, but for now, the focus is on Verona,” Conte added.

PSG’s determination to secure Kvaratskhelia underscores their ambition, while Napoli must navigate the challenge of replacing one of their key assets.
