Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, alongside his first assistant Hedi Taboubi, embarked on a European tour this week to connect with some of Nigeria’s top football talents.
During the visit, Chelle met with key players Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, and Alex Iwobi at their respective clubs. He was also in attendance for the Ligue 1 clash between Nantes and Brest at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Friday night, where Simon featured for 68 minutes before Nantes suffered a 2-0 defeat to brest.

The Malian tactician, appointed last month, is preparing to take charge of the Super Eagles for the first time in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Nigeria will face Rwanda’s Amavubi on March 21 at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. Four days later, the team will return home to host Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo for their matchday six fixture.
Chelle’s visit to Europe underscores his commitment to strengthening ties with his squad as he gears up for these crucial encounters.
