Gabriel Osho has expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ ability to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as reported by softfootball.com.

The three-time African champions have struggled in the qualifiers, failing to secure a win so far. They currently sit in fifth place in Group C with just three points from four matches.

Speaking about the team’s goals, Osho emphasized the importance of focusing on both the World Cup qualifiers and the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

“After the last competition, our objective is clear — progress and triumph. We have immense talent within our squad,” he said.

He added, “Our team has the best quality in Africa, and it’s time to prove it on the biggest stage. We need to play to our full potential. I’m confident we can make it.”

Osho also highlighted the new qualification format, which offers the team more opportunities to improve. “This extended format gives us time to turn things around. The upcoming games will be crucial for us to rectify our position,” he explained.

He concluded by expressing optimism about the Super Eagles’ determination to secure a World Cup spot. “Everyone is motivated to participate in the World Cup. We will do everything possible, and, God willing, we will qualify,” Osho said
