Former Nigerian international Sylvanus Okpala has shared his concerns about Victor Boniface’s form for the Super Eagles.
Despite excelling in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, Boniface has struggled to find the back of the net for the Nigerian national team. Okpala has offered advice to the forward, emphasizing the need to contribute both as a scorer and a playmaker.

Okpala pointed out that while Victor Osimhen consistently scores for the Super Eagles, Boniface has yet to make his mark. Speaking to Brila FM, he urged the striker to focus on his primary role as a center forward.
If scoring proves challenging, Okpala recommended that Boniface work on setting up chances for his teammates, underlining the importance of versatility in contributing to the team’s success.

The former Nigerian international stressed that Boniface should stay calm and avoid putting too much pressure on himself to score in every match. Okpala explained that confidence comes from patience and maintaining a steady approach.
He also reminded Boniface that adapting to the national team environment requires time and composure, as it differs significantly from club football.
By focusing on both scoring and assisting, Boniface can rebuild his confidence and become a key player for the Super Eagles.
