After dismantling PSV Eindhoven 7-1 in the first leg of their last-16 tie, Arsenal have all but secured their place in the last eight. Meanwhile, the Madrid clubs are locked in a tight battle, with Real holding a narrow 2-1 advantage after the first leg of their tie.

With Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli expected to return from injury in April, Henry believes Arsenal will be at full strength and ready to challenge for European glory. He also suggests that with the Premier League title race slipping away, Mikel Arteta’s side can now fully focus on the Champions League.

“Yes, [Arsenal] can [give the Madrid teams a run for their money],” Henry said on CBS Sports. “I’m just saying, show us that you can do that against a good team, with players coming back [from injury].

“I really thought PSV would be difficult, especially away from home, but Arsenal made it look easy. This game will give them confidence for what’s ahead—Real Madrid or Atletico.

Real Madrid, the tournament’s most successful club with 15 titles, are the defending champions, while Atletico have reached the final twice but never lifted the trophy. Arsenal, currently in great form in Europe, will be aiming to change their fortunes and prove they belong among the continent’s elite.
