President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman for clinching the 2024 CAF Men’s African Footballer of the Year award.
He also praised Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for winning the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award, alongside the Super Falcons’ recognition as the Women’s National Team of the Year.

These prestigious awards were announced on Monday evening at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco.
The President joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating these remarkable athletes, acknowledging their roles as true ambassadors of Nigeria.
He emphasized that their accomplishments reflect the country’s talent and bring honor to Nigeria both on the continental and global levels.

President Tinubu also stated that such achievements by Lookman, Nnadozie, and the Super Falcons would inspire upcoming athletes to stay committed to their dreams.
“Their determination, discipline, and confidence mirror the government’s goal to create a prosperous Nigeria where every citizen can succeed.
These athletes exemplify the best of the Nigerian spirit. Let no one underestimate us. I am immensely proud of them,” President Tinubu said.
He concluded by expressing gratitude to the athletes for flying the Nigerian flag high, both domestically and internationally, and voiced his optimism for future successes.
“Thank you for making Nigeria proud. We look forward to even more victories ahead,” he added.
