Tunisia’s national team has a familiar face back in charge as Sami Trabelsi has been named head coach of the Carthage Eagles, according to SoftFootball.com. This marks his second stint at the helm, having previously led the squad between 2011 and 2013.

Now, he takes over from interim boss Kais Yaakoubi, who stepped in after Faouzi Benzarti’s departure. Under Yaakoubi, Tunisia secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Madagascar to confirm their spot at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Alongside Trabelsi, Hamadi Daou joins as assistant coach, with Mohamed Sahli also expected to be part of the new technical staff.
The newly appointed backroom team includes:
- Aymen Jedidi & Wassim Maala – Physical preparation and development
- Hichem Jaziri – Goalkeeping coach
- Helmi El-Kachou & Walid Bentmansour – Tactical analysts
Trabelsi’s return brings experience and stability to Tunisia as they prepare for their next major international challenges.
