Former England manager Glenn Hoddle has made a bold statement following Galatasaray’s impressive 4-1 victory over Tottenham in the Europa League.

Hoddle praised Victor Osimhen for his standout performance but also pointed out that the Nigerian striker could have easily scored up to six goals in the match. Osimhen netted two goals, but Hoddle believed the forward had a number of other opportunities that he failed to capitalize on.
During the match, Osimhen was a constant threat to Spurs’ defense, with his pace and clinical finishing causing problems throughout the encounter. Hoddle, speaking to TNT Sports, highlighted how Osimhen was in top form, saying, “This is incredible. Victor Osimhen could have had six tonight. Dejan Kulusevski did his best to make it awkward, but Osimhen’s movement and finishing were exceptional.”
While Osimhen’s two goals were enough to help Galatasaray secure the win, Hoddle’s comments reflect the striker’s dominant display, showing that Tottenham’s defense was unable to handle his constant pressure. Hoddle also suggested that Spurs need to improve their play if they hope to compete at a higher level. He added, “Spurs have got to liven up and play simple.”
