West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both under serious scrutiny following disappointing starts to their respective seasons, and both clubs are reportedly targeting former Chelsea manager Graham Potter as a potential replacement.

This week’s midweek results have only intensified the pressure on both teams.
West Ham suffered a 3-1 defeat to Leicester City, while Wolves were crushed 4-0 by Everton. These results have left Gary O’Neil’s side languishing in 19th place, while Julen Lopetegui’s team is in 14th, with both managers facing increasing pressure to turn things around.
Although neither club has made a final decision on a managerial change, reports suggest they have both made initial contact with Potter to gauge his interest in taking charge. While Potter is said to prefer the east London side to Molineux, West Ham are not yet ready to make a move, and Lopetegui is expected to remain in charge for Monday’s crucial clash against Wolves.
Potter, who has been linked with several managerial roles since leaving Chelsea, expressed his openness to returning to football management in a September interview, saying, “It still has to be the right thing, but I’m excited for it.”
Despite the growing speculation, O’Neil remains focused on the task at hand, following Wolves’ heavy defeat to Everton. In his response to the pressure surrounding his future, O’Neil said, “I am not concerned about my future, only the club’s future.” He added that he remains fully committed to improving the team and preparing for their upcoming matches.
