Manager Julen Lopetegui is under pressure, with a critical run of fixtures looming. Currently 14th in the league, West Ham are actively searching for reinforcements to aid their survival bid.

Injuries to Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen have left gaps in the attack, prompting interest in Brighton’s Evan Ferguson, Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan, and Middlesbrough’s Latte Lath.

Antonio’s season was cut short following a serious car crash, while Bowen, the team’s top scorer, is sidelined for six weeks due to a fractured foot.

Alongside attacking options, West Ham is also keen to enhance their creative midfield, with Dewsbury-Hall and Chukwuemeka identified as prime targets.

According to The Telegraph, West Ham prefers loan arrangements but is open to permanent deals if sales generate the necessary funds.

Dewsbury-Hall, who joined Chelsea from Leicester for £30 million under Enzo Maresca, has struggled for game time, failing to start a league match this season.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Chukwuemeka has made 32 appearances for Chelsea since his 2022 move from Aston Villa but has yet to feature in the Premier League under Maresca.

The manager acknowledged players like Chukwuemeka and Ben Chilwell, who lack regular opportunities, may seek moves in January. As Chelsea has a eye for two premier league stars.

Maresca assured reporters that Chelsea would work to accommodate dissatisfied players, saying, “If they don’t play games, they might want to leave. We will try to find the best solution for everyone.”

West Ham’s ambition in the January market reflects their urgency to turn their season around and climb the league table.
