Why Igoh Ogbu Is Not Rushing to Join Nigeria’s Super Eagles

Slavia Prague defender Igoh Ogbu has opened up about his decision to wait patiently for the right moment to represent Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

In an interview with TribalFootball, Ogbu shared that while he has been in contact with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), he is not rushing to make his debut for the national team.

“Every Nigerian kid dreams of playing for the Super Eagles. It’s an honor to wear the jersey and represent the country with pride,” Ogbu said. “I’ve spoken with the NFF before.

The last time was shortly after my father passed away. For me, I know the right time will come, and when it does, I’ll be ready.”

Ogbu emphasized his faith in patience and self-belief. “I’m not in a hurry. I trust in my abilities and understand that every player has their moment.

Other Nigerians are also working hard and earning their chances. I know my time will come, but it’s all in God’s hands. Until then, I’ll keep working and improving
