Leicester City may have fallen to a 2-0 defeat against Arsenal at the King Power Stadium, but Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi delivered an impressive performance, earning a solid rating for his efforts.
According to football analytics platform Squawka, Ndidi received a 60% rating, highlighting his unexpected attacking contributions alongside his usual defensive work.

“While you’d expect Wilfred Ndidi to be busy defensively, he was actually Leicester’s biggest goal threat with two shots, both coming in the first half,” Squawka noted.
Defensively, Ndidi remained solid, making four clearances, winning one tackle, and registering two interceptions. He also won three duels, showcasing his all-around influence on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Arsenal tightened the Premier League title race with a crucial 2-0 victory, reducing the gap at the top to just four points.
The Gunners entered the game without key attackers Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz, marking the first time since the 2020-21 season that none of them featured in a league starting lineup. Their absence was evident as Mikel Arteta’s side struggled to break down Leicester’s defense.
However, 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri provided a spark, delivering a pinpoint assist for substitute Mikel Merino’s opening goal. The Spanish midfielder, pushed into an attacking role, then sealed the victory with a late strike to secure all three points for Arsenal.
