The 24-year-old winger initially suffered the setback during Everton’s 1-1 draw with Fulham last month, when he was forced off late in the game.
Although McNeil managed to play the full 90 minutes in Everton’s recent 1-0 loss to Southampton, manager Sean Dyche noted that the midfielder has been working closely with the club’s physio to manage the issue.
Despite his lingering injury concerns, McNeil returned to training with his teammates on Tuesday, signaling a possibility of his involvement at the London Stadium. However, his availability remains uncertain, as Dyche has not confirmed if McNeil will be fit enough to start.
