According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his x handle, no final decision has been taken yet regarding the permanent transfer, but the indications within the club are positive. Santos joined Sporting CP in the summer of 2025 from Brazilian side Esporte Clube Vitória for a reported €2.1 million. After showing promise in Portugal, he moved to Napoli during the winter transfer window on loan, where he has quickly adapted to the demands of Serie A.

The 23-year-old winger has already made five appearances across all competitions for Napoli, scoring two goals and delivering energetic performances that have impressed both the coaching staff and club management.

His pace, direct attacking style, and ability to contribute defensively during transitions have made him a valuable option in Napoli’s attacking setup. The club now views him as a player who could play an important role in their plans for next season if the purchase option is activated.

Meanwhile, in separate transfer developments, Tino Livramento is not close to joining Manchester City despite recent rumours suggesting a potential summer move. According to Fab, there are currently no negotiations or advanced talks between City and Newcastle United regarding the right-back, although Manchester City are still expected to reinforce that position during the upcoming transfer window.

Elsewhere on the international stage, Neymar has been included in the preliminary squad list for the Brazil national football team ahead of their final friendly matches before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to attend the upcoming match of Neymar’s club Santos FC to closely monitor the forward’s physical condition before announcing the final squad list. The evaluation will help determine whether Neymar is fully ready to return to international competition after recovering from injury.
